Speculative fiction
Heidi Fraser writes dark speculative fiction exploring control — who holds it, how it’s used, and what happens when it goes too far.
Her debut novel, Restless State, strips away the illusion of normal life to expose the systems operating beneath it. Governments, technology, and social structures are not background elements — they are the pressure points shaping every decision, every outcome.
Held in artificial wakefulness, humanity is driven into a perpetual cycle — a controlled existence disguised as progress. Blending medical science fiction with psychological tension, Restless State delivers a story that feels uncomfortably close to reality.

Restless State
They took her sleep.
They took her dreams.
Her body tells her they took something else.
After waking from forced sedation in a psychiatric facility, Victoria’s world shifts to a dystopian nightmare. Her body is altered, her mind is perpetually alert, and a fresh surgical scar hints at a procedure no one will confirm.
Nuvo Tech, the global pharmaceutical leader behind Dostal—a drug that eliminates sleep in exchange for endless
consciousness—has redefined what it means to be human. But beneath the glossy promises lies a darker agenda, and
Victoria may be the key to uncovering it.
Stripped of rest, robbed of memory, and haunted by a world addicted to wakefulness, Victoria begins to unravel the truth she was never meant to remember.
She knows what they’ve taken, and she won’t rest until she gets it back.ystopian book, medical science fiction, psychological thriller.

Healing Your Tattoo
Your tattoo is a permanent piece of art, and proper aftercare is crucial to ensure it heals beautifully and maintains its vibrancy for years to come. The healing process typically takes 2-4 weeks, during which your tattoo is essentially an open wound that requires careful attention and care.
Following these aftercare guidelines will help prevent infection, minimize scabbing, reduce the risk of color loss, and ensure your tattoo looks as stunning as the day you got it. Think of aftercare as the final step in your tattoo journey—it's just as important as choosing the right artist and design.
Your artist has invested their skill and expertise into creating your tattoo, and now it's your turn to protect that investment. Proper healing makes the difference between a tattoo that looks fresh for decades and one that fades or becomes patchy within months.
